What supports are available to you as a Director? Think in terms of internal
agency supports; extended child care community; personal supports.
What aspect of your job do you feel is one in which you could mentor another
director?
What do you feel is the area where you need the most support, mentoring
or training?
What opportunities are available in your community to share your strengths
and to learn skills?
Can you think of any "non-traditional" supports that you would
tap into as you move further along in your professional development? For example,
similar positions in other fields (i.e. CEO of an organization; Human Resource
Manager in a company)?
What is the one thing that you will work on in the area of
professional development? Create both a time line and a goal.
