Each workshop lasts two hours, including satellite broadcast time, discussion and group activities.

Do you have questions about specific satellite topics?
We're here to answer them. If your question is selected to be discussed during the broadcast, we will send you a gift certificate from Redleaf Press. Questions should be submitted two weeks prior to the satellite broadcast date by fax 814-865-7893 or e-mail.

If you live in Pennsylvania, contact your local extension educator for information to attend a workshop in your area.

Satellite Coordinates

The coordinates will be posted approximately one month prior to the Satellite at http://betterkidcare.psu.edu/page02e.html

Subscribe to the Satellite Coordinates listserv and receive the current information through e-mail. New subscribers can join by sending mail to l-BKCSatInfo-subscribe-request@lists.psu.edu. No subject or message text is required. The system picks up the name and address from the e-mail headers.

For information on the structure and content of the satellites, please contact James E. Van Horn, Ph.D., CFLE, Director of the Better Kid Care Program and executive producer and host of the satellite programs (jev@psu.edu or 814-863-8646) or Ms. Lyn Horning, Assistant Director of the Better Kid Care Program and assistant producer of the satellite programs (lch5@psu.edu or 814-863-5568).

All satellites will be broadcast on both KU and C Band. Training materials are camera-ready-you may make as many copies as you need. Feature guests vary by topic. If you view the satellites without purchasing training materials, please notify us.

Viewers Outside Pennsylvania:
There is no charge to downlink the workshop. However, there is a nominal charge to trainers/facilitators who are outside the state of Pennsylvania for the workshop materials, handouts and a copy of the program.
