Information About Emergency Preparedness

As of July 2004, the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare requires each child care center, group home, and family child care home to have a written emergency preparedness plan so that adults in child care facilities know how to respond if any emergency arises.

Workshops for developing emergency preparedness plans are available for administrators of child care centers and group homes and family child care providers. Contact the Pennsylvania Regional Key in your area for more information:
